Requesting a Tax Repayment from HMRC

If HMRC owe you funds once your self assessment is complete and they've not automatically made the repayment, you might need to request the repayment manually.

Our first suggestion is that you sign into your personal tax account and request it online.

We will need to have verified your ID and seen a recent copy of your bank statement showing the account details to provide to HMRC.
